We are well into the swing of things this new decade and with that comes new ambitions and personal goals. Veganuary is now a cultural moment in the year that challenges people to try a plant based diet, and who knows, it might happen for more than a month if you enjoy it. Colombia Road Market is open on Sunday’s and transforms a typical London street into an oasis of flowers, plants and foliage. There are even 10ft banana trees available to buy. Adding to its uniqueness, the road is made up of over 60 independent shops, with art galleries dispersed between coffee and cupcake shops, with the occasional pub popping up along the way. The history of this road not only stems from the flowers that are sold but by the residents and shop owners who refuse to have retail shops take the fun away. Whilst the event is free, we can’t promise you won’t spend some money and leave empty handed, there is too much to you will want to buy. However make a note that if you head down in the afternoon just before it closes you will be able to snap up some great discounts on all your fav plants!

We are currently in a state where everyone is suffering from the ‘January Blues,’ so we have got something to cheer you up. Transport yourself to Mexico and experience the dazzling spectacle that is Cirque du Soleil Luiza at the Royal Albert Hall.

Cirque du Soleil is returning once again with their show LUIZA showcased for the first time in Europe. Watch light, acrobatics and rain come together and create a breath-taking show intended to soothe the soul. Performances take place throughout the day at various times, you can see the schedule and get your tickets here.

The programme promises to showcase incredible acrobatic performances, as you watch the stage combine traditional and modern acts that merge faces and places, as well as the many sounds of Mexico. Using traditional Chinese circus disciplines, the show explores hoop diving, daring leaps and includes two giant treadmills! Yes, you read that correctly!

Integrating the element of water into the performance adds a new level of drama and visionary. Watch as performers dive and spin in the rain whilst aerialists fly and twirl through the pouring water. Adding to this, the show explores the fascination we as humans have with animals. This is definitely something you do not want to miss.

Top 5 Ways To Spend NYE in London

Celebrate the New Year in the capital this year! Choose from a river cruise to watch the London Fireworks, a wild night out or special day events. We have gathered our top five ways for you to spend New Year’s Eve and bring in 2020 in style. There’s even a night at the museum experience, however Ben Stiller won’t be there, and sadly, the attractions won’t come to life (as far as we know…).

With the fireworks being a ticketed event and sold out, we’ve found an alternative that will give you the best seats in the house. Tickets start from £150 depending on which cruise you get, but all offer a glass of bubbles, some delicious food and the chance to dance the night away on the water during one of the biggest nights of the year.

The Shard lights will transform the top 20 floors of the building into a colour display, visible across the Capital. It will last until the early hours of the next morning for its final show. The event is free, just make sure you find a good view point to take it all in.

Night owls get ready for one of the wildest nights of 2019. The National History Museum will open their doors for New Year’s Eve and put on a show that you do not want to miss. There will be massoke where a band plays the most well-known songs and the audience sings along to the lyrics behind.
