How to Watch Burberry’s Fall 2020 Fashion Show on Monday

London Fashion Week is in full swing, and there’s been no shortage of newsworthy moments coming out of the British capital. And we suspect that theme will continue as Riccardo Tisci prepares to present his Fall 2020 collection for Burberry tomorrow.

Little is known about what to expect from Tisci’s newest collection, however we suspect his usual crew of supers – including Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Candice Swanepoel and the like – will make an appearance on the runway. All teaser imagery for the show features flowers which could hint at a potential theme for the collection.

The good news is that there’s not long until we see exactly what the designer has dreamed up for the new season as the show is scheduled to take place at 5pm tomorrow (Monday February 17) at 12pm ET. And the even better news is that you can catch all the action right here.

6 Standout Runway Beauty Moments From New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week has wrapped for another season but there’s still plenty we can’t stop thinking about. Whether you need some ideas for your next Friday night (or any night) beauty look, or just want a little preview of what you’ll likely see recreated all over your Instagram feed in the coming months, here’s six of our favourite runway beauty looks we spied backstage at the shows.

Decked Out Digits

Stones, crystals, gold beads — oh my! Lead nail artist for Kiss Nails Gina Edwards served up two edgy nail looks to compliment the bohemian rocker chic collection at the Alice + Olivia presentation. Using both squoval and coffin-shaped black-matte stick-on nails from ImPress, Edwards applied nail stickers from Kiss’ Jewel Accents Luxury Nail Art pack, and further proceeded to apply custom stones and gems with a clear Kiss brush-on glue. With a total of fifty models in the show, and each set of nails taking roughly an hour and forty minutes to create, it was a true labour of love, said Edwards.

Braids Of Glory

“Ulla Jonhson loves braiding. She loves any kind of intricate design, so of course we’re not going to do any normal three-plait braid,” explained hairstylist Bob Racine about his wispy-yet-perfect fishtail plaits that started at the nape of the neck. “The flyaways are gorgeous and charming. That’s the kind of style we wanted to have. It’s very approachable.”

Power Pastels

PHOTOGRAPHY VIA KISS NAILS

Effortless beauty for the modern-day working woman was the key messaging at Rebecca Minkoff’s see-now, buy-now SS2020 presentation near the beginning of the week. To follow suit, nail guru Gina Edwards used “do-and-go” press-on nails from ImPress. “The whole idea was cool, moody pastels and adding some accents,” Edwards explained. What these easy, breezy hues definitely are not: “the chalky pastels of the ‘90s,” she said.

Pop of Gold

The Blonds collection was inspired by a “Rococo vision of heaven,” explained lead makeup artist Kabuki. Using MAC Cosmetics, Kabuki created a dramatic golden wing on model’s eyelids by layering shimmering brown and gold shadows along the crease.

The main beauty moment at Self-Portrait was definitely this exaggerated, neon-winged eye. We’re filing this one under daring, party-ready makeup vibes.

Honestly, you had to be there to truly appreciate just how breathtaking this runway beauty moment at Area was. Inspired by images in 1970s catalogues where models’ hair looked like it was caught in knots, hair maestro Jawara Wauchope made sparkling crystal wigs, which he then sewed into girls’ hair using a traditional sew-in weave technique. “We treated the crystal wigs as if they were wefts, and sewed them on [braided] tracks,” said the hairstylist.

Lena Dunham Makes Her Catwalk Debut at the 16Arlington Show at London Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week has wrapped for the Fall 2020 season, which means the fash pack hopped on a plane to London the very next day. London Fashion Week officially began today, with buzzy brand 16Arlington kicking things off on a high note.

The brand tapped actress Lena Dunham for its show, marking the first time she has appeared on a catwalk. Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Kikka Cavenati – one half of the design team behind the brand – explained that the relationship began when they were approached by Dunham’s stylist to dress her for the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood premiere. “I grew up watching Girls, so we were so excited about it. Lena takes fashion seriously, but has so much fun at the same time, and that’s what we do. We take what we do seriously but we also have fun with it. We just got on really well.” Marco Capaldo, the other half of the team, added, “She dresses for herself. We’ve been lucky to work with such powerful women from the beginning – women who are changing the world for a better place and Lena is a prime example of that. She embodies this spirit of power and intelligence. Everything we stand for as a brand, she ticks every box for us.”

Dunham modelled the finale look for the show, wearing a black and gold dress with leather bow detailing on the chest and a red-trimmed flounce hem.

Representation has long been important to 16Arlington, which has a particular focus on size inclusivity. At present, its pieces go up to a size 16 but plans are being made to expand the size range even further. Watch this space.
