MADRID demands help from the military to enforce new lockdown restrictions, that have been imposed this Monday, September 21.

The restrictions which have been applied to poorer districts in the capital have sparked protests over the weekend against what residents described as discrimination against the poor.

The Spanish army was deployed at the height of the first wave of infections between March and April to help police enforce measure.
