Coronavirus India LIVE Updates: Punjab govt to lift lockdown on Sunday, in view of NEET 2020 exam

Total Covid-19 cases crossed the 1 lakh-mark in Kerala on Friday. The state crossed the mark seven months after the first case was reported.

The total number of fresh cases reported on Friday stood at 2,988; with 1,326 recoveries, 14 deaths, and 34,056 samples being tested.

The total number of cases in the state now stand at 1,02,191; with 27,877 active cases, 73,904 recoveries, and 410 deaths.

Thiruvanathapuram has reported 494 cases, Malappuram 390, Kollam 303, Ernakulam 295, Kozhikode 261, Kannur 256, Kottayam 221, and Alappuzha 200.

Some 2,738 people have been infected through contacts. At least 52 health workers have contracted the virus so far.
