For the second time we had the amazing opportunity to collaborate as Urban Jungle Bloggers with the online flower and plant shop Bergamotte. This time we created another capsule plant collection for them entitled ‘Jungle Tribe’ – a little pun on our latest book title PLANT TRIBE. Let me tell you a little bit about this limited edition.
JUNGLE TRIBE is a limited plant collection available in Germany and France via Bergamotte (online and in their various plant pop-up shops). The capsule collection is comprised of five beautiful and pretty rare plants. The plants are divided into three size categories: small, medium and large. You can either buy the entire collection or choose single plants, apart from the small plants that come as a duo only.
Small: Plant duo ‘SOLEDAD’: Named after the warmth of the sun, this duo is made up of a Sansevieria metallica and a Syngonium Red Heart. The Sansevieria metallica is a beautiful variety with silver-green lines making the Snake plant look incredibly suave. The Syngonium on the other hand is heart warming with powdery hues of pink on its unfurling leaves. If you opt for the potted version (which I recommend), you will get them in beautiful ochre ceramic plant pots.
Medium: Philodendron Prince of Orange ‘PRINCE’: Aptly named after its vibrant orange foliage, this Philodendron is a true prince in any urban jungle. Very easy to care for and sold with a wonderful natural colored woven basket. One of my crushes!
Medium: Homalomena ‘TROY’: This plant is so lush, it feels like you invite a piece of a natural jungle right into your home. Big, heart shaped green leaves sit on long burgundy colored stems and grow bushy creating a real plant paradise. This plant comes in a great woven basket too with two shades of natural fibers.
Large: Licuala ‘LUNA’: This beauty is a real urban jungle queen. Even though it is on the side of the more demanding plants when it comes to care, it is such a gem to have in a rich plant collection. The fan like palm fronds open up and shimmer in all shades of green against the light. It is tall and lush and comes in a woven basket too (the same as the Homalomena for Germany and a natural basket with handles for France).
