Since the coronavirus outbreak reached the Netherlands, I have been working from home. Living in the city centre of Amsterdam, it’s best to stay inside as much as possible besides the occasional morning run. It was time to take a break from the city!

Maris apartments has 5 exclusive apartments, each one of them enjoys incredible views spanning over the beach. We stayed in the superior apartment, which is huge! For example, it features an amazing kitchen, spacious living area, stylish and luxury furniture, not to mention the comfortable beds and an in room bath tub! The location, Egmond aan Zee, lies directly on the North Seas coast and possesses a kilometer-long sandy beach, which is perfect for a run, yoga or meditation when there is no one around.

Cook or take out

We love to cook, and this kitchen is definitely the heart of this home. It’s where delicious meals are created and stories are shared whilst enjoying the stunning view. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to cook you can take away food in the restaurant downstairs from Maris Apartments: Comer by Polonio Every Thursday until Sunday from 9AM you can take out Sushi, burgers, BURATTA, lobster, fruit de mer and more. And if you really want to go all out; you can even book a private chef!

During the day we went for a beach walk and we set most of the day on the spacious terrace with a good book and a glass of wine or we played games whilst listing to the sound of the waves. If it cools down in the evening, the fireplace inside is wonderful for the colder evenings and nights!

For couples and families

Despite the fact that you are currently not allowed to book the villa’s with friends, Maris Apartments are great for couples but also perfect for families with kids. With more than enough space you can easily keep them active with fun activities at home. And within less than 2 minutes you will find yourself at the beach. Sand and water are a the perfect combination for free play for kids and create fun activities.
