New Book: Plant Tribe

Today is a special day! Despite the crazy world we live in right now, I am very happy that our brand new Urban Jungle Bloggers book ‘PLANT TRIBE – Living happily ever after with Plants’, launches today! We had worked so hard on this book over the past one and a half years, and with we I mean especially my Urban Jungle Bloggers partner-in-crime Judith and myself. Even though we should be in New York City celebrating the launch of our book, we are saluting from afar, all from our homes because safety comes first and let’s keep all of us healthy and happy!

However, I think this special timing has also something good and important in it: We are at home and we should stay at home. We will maybe reevaluate what home means to us and we will find new ways of keeping us busy, challenged, productive. Taking care of your plants is one way to handle our special self-isolation right now. And this is where our new book PLANT TRIBE comes perfectly into play. Why? Let me tell you what awaits you in this 240-pages packed compendium of green love and positive vibes.

The book is structured in six chapters that deal with the following topics: love, good energy, happiness, well-being, and creativity with plants. The last chapter is a practical room-by-room plant guide with tips about which plants are ideal for which rooms. The five aforementioned chapters put a new focus on how we look at houseplants: for the first time, this book sheds a light on what the plants actually do for us!

And now is the best time to harness all the good vibes, all the positivity and love plants can bring into our homes and daily lives. We look into ways of how to raise the level of love and self-care with the help of your plants. We show various ways of how to create plant rituals for your home. We look into the topic of plants and crystals and how you can best use the energy from Mother Earth to help your plants thrive.

Additionally, we look at how we can all live happily in a home with plants and pets, we share plant ideas for your mind, body and soul – yes, we even have some plant mediation ideas in the book. How does that sound to free our mind from the disturbing news and uncertainty nowadays? We also look into ways how plants help us in our creative processes and we even speak to people who turned their plant passion into a plant business! Very insightful, believe me!

To tell all those emotional and personal stories about how plants have a positive impact on our lives, we visited 17 plant-filled homes around the world – from the USA, to Brazil and Europe. All of these wonderful people are part of our global plant tribe of Urban Jungle Bloggers. You will get exclusive looks into their wonderful homes and read very personal stories.

I know I am one of the book’s authors and I am biased: but I love this book so much because it holds all the love, passion, and hard work we put into it in 240 beautiful pages. And yes we were two authors, but there is a whole great team to thank for such a wonderful book. First I want to thank my friend and talented photographer Jules from Herz & Blut for beautifully capturing every details in this book and being a fun travel companion on our book related trips. Also I want to thank our literary agent Judy for her ongoing support and the great team at our publisher Abrams, with our editor Shawna, for making this book stand out.
