Top 5 Vegan restaurants for Veganuary

We are well into the swing of things this new decade and with that comes new ambitions and personal goals. Veganuary is now a cultural moment in the year that challenges people to try a plant based diet, and who knows, it might happen for more than a month if you enjoy it. Whilst up-hauling your diet can be daunting, we have found some restaurants/ events that can give a taste of what it's like and what is on offer to eat.

To be totally immersed in vegan cuisine head to Brick Lane in East London on the 30th January to celebrate for one night all things vegan. Vegan night is back and promises a variety of amazing vegan street food, including burgers, steak and currys all washed down with incredible beers and cocktails. Live music and DJ's will be playing all night to create an environment to socialise and experience a plant-based diet. It promises not to be bland. Tickets start from £7 and you can get yours here.

Head to West London to explore the vegan menu on offer at tell your friends. It is a very social joint in Fulham, very instagrammable, and is a firm favourite by several influencers and celebrities. Their fully vegan menu offers comfort food, fresh seasonal ingredients and healthy treats. Their main aim is to provide delicious food and showcase the wide variety of vegan food on offer while proving that you can eat more than just a salad when you are a vegan. Check out their menu here. They have regular events going on and you can even join in on Hatha yoga on the 29th January.

The Vurger Co was founded through a couple's journey in California where they discovered new tastes and recipes which were all plant based. With this in mind, they created a restaurant where vegetables were the main event. Their mission, which seems to have been successful, was to update fast food through the 'power of plants.' There is a whole host of things we want to try on this menu, particular the new buffalo vurger! Discover their menu here, but we want to issue a warning…you might start salivating! Offering up shakes, crepes, waffles, soft serve and ice-cream all free from 14 of major allergens, they are a delight to many. As well as being vegan, Yorika is taking steps to be sustainable with cutlery and straws being bio-degradable and compostable. It is also a cashless store, so don't forget your card! Tupi is the best place to start your introduction into a plant based diet. Tupi combines flavours from Europe and South Africa with a desire to provide fresh and healthy food. With gluten and dairy free options on the menu, you can try out alternatives and maybe try something completely new. They even do bottomless brunch every Saturday and Sunday 12pm-6pm with a choice of prosecco, Bellini's or Bloody Mary's. If you are more of a late lunch than early brunch kind of person, take full advantage of happy hour every day from 4pm-8pm with cocktails costing £5 and beer only £3! Finally they offer 40% off  your food bill every Monday and Tuesday when you book in advance. What more could you want?
