The ninth Democratic primary debate airs tomorrow night (Wednesday, February 19) at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, broadcast live from Las Vegas, Nevada, a few days before the Nevada caucuses (Saturday, February 22). This debate will be hosted by NBC News, MSNBC, Telemundo, and The Nevada Independent.
The Candidates
Six Democratic candidates have qualified to participate in this debate:
- Former Vice President Joe Biden
- Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg
- Sen. Amy Klobuchar (Minnesota)
- Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vermont)
- Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Massachusetts)
- Billionaire and Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg
This is the first time Bloomberg will appear alongside his Democratic presidential rivals on the debate stage.
Billionaire Tom Steyer and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) failed to qualified the debate on both the polling threshold and delegate threshold fronts. Since the last debate (on February 7), Entrepreneur Andrew Yang has dropped out of the presidential race.
The Moderators
This debate will be moderated by “NBC Nightly News” and “Dateline NBC” anchor Lester Holt, “Meet the Press” moderator and NBC News political director Chuck Todd, NBC News Chief White House Correspondent and host of “MSNBC Live” Hallie Jackson, Noticias Telemundo senior correspondent Vanessa Hauc, and Jon Ralston of The Nevada Independent.

There are a number of opportunities to watch the Democratic debate.
The event will be broadcast on NBC and MSNBC, as well as live-streamed on NBC News NOW, NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, the NBC News mobile app, NBC News and MSNBC’s Facebook pages, and online at The Nevada Independent. The debate will also air live in Spanish on Universo, as well as the Noticias Telemundo mobile app and website and Noticias Telemundo’s Facebook page.
