NASA astronauts conduct first all-female spacewalk (LIVE) | USA TODAY



NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir will venture outside the International Space Station for the first all-female spacewalk six months after an earlier attempt was canceled. Coverage begins at 6:30 a.m. ET, but NASA says the spacewalk officially starts at 7:50 a.m. ET when the astronauts set their suits to battery power and exit the Quest airlock. Koch and Meir will replace a faulty power controller on the orbiting spacecraft. Koch had been scheduled to conduct the first all-female spacewalk with Anne McClain in March, but the two astronauts both required medium-size suits, and there was only one available. » Subscribe to USA TODAY: http://bit.ly/1xa3XAh
