Disney Announces Princess-Inspired Wedding Dress Line For True Fairytale Wedding

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Brides-to-be who are dreaming of their fairytale weddings may be able to have their dreams come true.

Disney is launching a new line of princess-inspired wedding gowns.

Allure Bridals is designing 16 dresses reflecting the style and spirit of Disney Princess characters such as Ariel, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora, Rapunzel and Snow White.

The entire collection will be unveiled during New York Bridal Fashion Week in April.

After that, they will go on sale at select bridal boutiques across the country.

However, seven of the 16 styles will be sold exclusively at Kleinfeld Bridal Stores in New York and Toronto.

No word on whether Disney will offer tuxedos for those real-world Prince Charmings.

Cinderella’s Castle At Disney World Getting A Makeover

ORLANDO (CBS4/CNN) – Platinum is the traditional gift of a 70th anniversary but a Florida icon will be getting the golden touch instead.

Walt Disney World is giving Cinderella’s castle in the Magic Kingdom a makeover with new golden accents, some royal blue paint, and a light pink shade for part of it. It will be very similar to the update made at Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland in California.

The work will get underway in the coming weeks and continue through the summer.

The timing couldn’t be better because the animated “Cinderella” movie marked the 70th anniversary of its box office debut over the weekend.
