Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac tests positive for coronavirus

Kerala Finance Minister Dr Thomas Issac has tested positive for Covid-19, becoming the first minister in the state to be infected by the novel virus.

He tested positive for coronavirus in an anti-body test that was conducted on Sunday evening.

Though the rest of his office staff has tested negative, those who came in direct contact with him will be in quarantine.

Thomas Issac’s office will be closed on Monday for disinfection as the minister was in the office on Sunday.
