AN assisted bathing service for people with mobility problems will be activated in Motril's beaches next week.
THE service, provided by the Red Cross, has been adapted to the regulations, and so it must be booked in advance and users must be accompanied.
Two monitors will be on hand at the access point next to Villa Astrida to access Playa Granada on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week, between 12 noon and 8pm, until August 31.
The service is aimed at people with functional diversity, the elderly, young people or children with reduced mobility, people with disabilities, people with pathologies, etc.
José Lemos, of Coastal Development, Tourism and Beaches, said: "We want to promote assisted bathing on the beach for people and contribute to their well-being and improve their quality of life, accessing the enjoyment of outdoor activities and bathing in the sea."
To book the service, visit the Motril Town Hall Tourist Office or call 958 825 481.
