New kids footwear by Maison Mangostan longing for spring

New kids footwear by Maison Mangostan will make you long for summer in these dog end grey days of winter we are currently struggling through.

‘Revolution’ is the new SS20 collection inspired by nature and the respect for the environment from the cool kids shoe label. It is based on a message: the urgent need to be more and more conscious about environment.

Maison Mangostan have been collaborating with the Spanish organisation Ambiente Europeo that fights against plastic pollution. They created a Green Mangostan collection having this philosophy in mind. This is a capsule collection focused on using recycled materials.

In time they hope to have a fully 100% sustainable and recyclable collection. For now they have fabrics containing a mix of recycled cotton and fibres made out of PET bottles taken out of the ocean or new soles made from recycled TPU with cork.

Inspiration for summer 2020 comes from reggae music and the naturalistic aesthetics from the coast areas of Jamaica. This is seen with rainbow crochet, natural materials such as wood or jute fibres and signature rainbow soles!

Bob Marley’s sport outfits he used to wear when playing football are transferred to the collection by the use of technical materials. These give the shoes the colour contrasts and details in flouro colours.
