He’s well known over in Ireland, having cooked in top kitchens, appeared regularly on the telly and released two cookbooks, and now Adrian Martin is taking on London with Wildflower. The 30-seater restaurant, opening in Camden’s Buck Street Market, is all about relaxed fine dining with a big focus on sustainability. There’ll be two- and three-courses on offer at lunchtimes, with eight-course tasting menu running in the evenings, with both changing seasonally.
Adrian will be using ingredients grown in the market’s Garden Terrace as well as locally sourced and foraged produce to cook up dishes like wild turbot with courgette flower, scallops with smoked haricot beans, wood sorrel risotto with asparagus & wild berry balsamic gel, dry-aged short rib of beef with wild mushrooms & lumper potato, and rice pudding souffle. Looks like the Camden food scene is on the up.
