Floral decor at Tribeza Interiors Tour 2020

Tribeza‘s annual Interiors Tour, held this year on January 26th, offered a voyeuristic opportunity to explore 8 beautifully decorated private homes throughout Austin. My eye always goes straight to any floral elements, like this elegant yet simple bouquet of camellia and pine on a woven gold tray…

…and this exuberant floral painting by designer-homeowner Meeta Morrison.

Meeta’s cute brass bird and BAR vignette in her kitchen also drew my eye.

Her home was my favorite overall, and that includes her inviting back patio with long paving strips, board-formed concrete walls, and cushy furniture.

At another house, I stepped outside for a better look at these well-designed, steel-framed wire trellises. Vines will eventually screen the neighbors and green up a narrow side yard.

Another look

At yet another house, sunlight slanted across a pretty outdoor table with contemporary wicker chairs. A vase of eucalyptus stems added unstudied greenery.

And as this dining room shows, bold wallpaper still rules in interior design. I’m a big fan, and while I might not choose this blowsy floral pattern myself, I enjoyed it with the rustic table and contemporary globe chandelier. It’s great to see people having flowery fun with their decor!
