Dressing for autumn is one of our favourite sartorial endeavours. Cosy knitwear, leather separates and chic boots are things we’ve been looking forward to wearing for the past few months. So now that October is upon us, it’s high time we started assembling the outfits we’ll wear for the season ahead. After trawling through the Instagram accounts of our favourite influencers, we managed to come up with seven key looks that are ideal for any sort of weather October might throw at us. From the ultimate cool-girl coat needed for chilly mornings to the summer dress you can wear right through until spring, there are plenty of outfit ideas you’ll want to copy immediately. The last days of bare-leg season are upon us, so make the most of them by pairing a miniskirt with a chunky knit. Simply add tights when you can’t withstand the chill any longer. 
Puffer jackets are imperative for when temperatures drop. Handily, Tiffany has found the most on-trend way to wear them: with a belt bag and square-toe boots. 
Jeans might be the first thing you reach for at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you need to completely forgo skirts. Instead, take cues from Sylvie and pair a denim midi with a jean shirt and finish with white boots. 
Mesh tops have been a hot-ticket item over the last few months. And now that we’re approaching autumn, the coolest way to wear them is with leather trousers. 
The ’70s influence can certainly be felt in the autumn/winter 2019 collections. Resistance is futile. Embrace it with wide-leg jeans, a retro print-blouse and mustard accessories. 
Your floral dresses needn’t be relegated to the back of your wardrobe until spring. At this time of year, we advise wearing them with slouchy wool blazers and closed-toe shoes.
