Oris shook the industry last week with the release of their new Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115.
Oris’s latest masterpiece features an in-house developed, fully skeletonized movement. Typically, skeletonization provides just a glimpse into the innerworkings of the timepiece however, this watch hides absolutely nothing; the movement is completely visible through the sapphire crystal case.
This new horological marvel also delivers 10 days of uninterrupted power. The non-linear power reserve indicator is patented by Oris and shows the power remaining with greater accuracy as the time to rewind approaches.
The timepiece beautifully captures the brand’s pilot’s watch history with a jet engine turbine blade motif on the bezel, and is finished with either a titanium bracelet or leather strap. The lift clasp is seatbelt-inspired and doesn’t have to be folded to be secured.
The brand describes this model as “pure Oris” and we couldn’t agree more. No flashy embellishments or unnecessary details. The watch is for adventurers who want to learn more about the world around them – those who want to “go their own way” as the company’s philosophy states.
