H. Moser & Cie. creates two new Bucherer Blue Editions

H. Moser & Cie. and renowned watch retailer Bucherer share several common values: both companies are independent and family-run; both are strongly committed to the Swiss Made label and what it stands for, both are based in the German-speaking part of the country and were established in the 19th century. In honor of these historic ties, H. Moser & Cie. has created two special watches: the Heritage Bucherer Blue Editions and the Endeavour Diamonds Bucherer Blue Editions. The two timepieces are the latest additions to the acclaimed Blue Editions collection launched by the Swiss retailer in 2016. Available exclusively from Bucherer boutiques, they are products of a collaboration based on professionalism, expertise and mutual respect.

Both models take design cues from early 20th century Moser pocket watches

According to H. Moser & Cie.’s CEO Edouard Meylan, the latest Bucherer Blue Editions are resolutely modern, with a design inspired by Moser pocket watches from the early 20th century. Elegant and stylish, they represent individualism and showcase the finest Swiss watchmaking expertise. Unlike previous Bucherer Blue Editions, these timepieces do not feature the color blue on their dials. Instead, H. Moser & Cie. decided to use the iconic Bucherer blue more subtly, on the lining of the strap and on some of the movement’s components. The balance wheels, balance bridges, and the rotors been specially created in blue. All of these parts are visible through the watches’ transparent sapphire case backs.

The first time that the Bucherer blue has been highlighted on the components of the movement

The new H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Diamonds Bucherer Blue Editions (ref. 1200-1204) is housed in a 38mm stainless steel case. Perfectly proportioned, this elegant ladies’ watch is water resistant to 30 meters and features a bezel adorned with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds. The timepiece has a beautiful fumé dial with a gradient grey color. Featuring leaf-shaped hands and applique indices, the dial displays hours, minutes and seconds. Ticking inside the watch is the in-house developed caliber HMC 200. Featuring 27 jewels, this self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 3 days. Priced at CHF 13,900, the Endeavour Diamonds Bucherer Blue Editions is presented on a hand-stitched grey alligator leather strap with blue leather lining. The latter is secured with a steel pin buckle, engraved with the Moser logo.

Featuring a 42mm stainless steel case, the Heritage Bucherer Blue Editions (ref. 8200-1200) is reminiscent of Moser watches from the 1900’s displayed at the museum dedicated to Heinrich Moser, the founder of H. Moser & Cie. Inspired by pilots watches of the past, this model features traditional elements such as wire-lugs, a large onion-shaped crown, railway-type minute track, as well as large Arabic numerals and hands filled with luminous material. Like on the ladies’ model, the grey fumé dial is decorated with a sunburst pattern. Powered by the calibre HMC 200, the Heritage Bucherer Blue Editions comes on a stylish hand-stitched caramel-colored kudu leather strap with blue leather lining and steel pin buckle, engraved with the Moser logo. The timepiece is priced at CHF 11,900.
